The world of industrial fittings, as can also be seen from the Intertubi catalog, is varied and contains a series of products intended for different applications and different types of fluids. In particular, the fluids that can be conveyed inside the systems are:
-    Gaseous fluids: these are gases of different types that can be conveyed for the correct operation of the systems.
-    Hydraulic fluids: these are liquids that circulate inside pipes and systems such as, for example, in the heating and cooling circuits.

Industrial fittings present an important distinction based on the type of junction that characterizes them. In fact, very often also on the basis of the denomination or the reference standard, a distinction is made between welded fittings and threaded fittings. This difference, which might seem marginal to an unwary eye, is an important choice in the design and implementation phase. The choice of a welded connection reduces the classic problems of unscrewing the screws and tends to create a permanent union inside the structure while, vice versa, the threaded connections involve an increase in the number of operations during the production phase of the product, but favor subsequent replacement and maintenance operations. It is not easy to understand which is the correct alternative to aim for, but preliminary assessments must certainly be made towards one or the other direction, in order to correctly design the system and make a clear choice towards the type of industrial fitting to use.
